Another Moment In Grief & Guilt 1
Original Abstract Painting
Acrylic on Canvas
20” x 24”
Introducing Another Moment In Grief & Guilt 1.
This is the first painting I’m releasing in the second part of my Moments in Grief collection, which lives within my larger, ongoing series, A Mother’s Journey. This new sub-collection carries forward the visual expression and palette of "Moments in Grief," but introduces an opportunity for me to abstractly explore another emotion that shows up just as often for me: guilt.
It is one of the emotions I move through regularly as a mother, sometimes even more than grief, and navigating it via painting is just as important for me.
Collecting a piece from this sub-collection and/or from the series overall invites a quiet honesty into your space around difficult emotions, that we often suppress or run away from. It acts as a reminder that it is necessary to feel your feelings, especially the difficult ones. The intuitive movement, and release expressed in the works along with the color palette invites you to take a moment to reflect on how you're feeling. To reground yourself in a present moment throughout your days. And to give yourself permission to have that breakdown so that you can have your breakthrough.
